For longstanding enterprises involved in M&A and divestments, it can be difficult to maintain accurate and comprehensive records of what is owned and the attributes and bounds of those properties, especially when operating globally.
Pinnacle integrated 7 researchers and a GIS analyst. The team began the efforts by researching public resources to support ownership validation. This information was supplemented by internal databases which lead to a concise path to effective and efficient ownership validation.
Internal connections with industry employees helped identify over 100 owned sites that were previously not flagged. Additional government land ownership resources were found that provides country-wide parcel ownership, providing additional parcels as owned that were not previously identified.
