Williams named 2022 outstanding woman in business for Triad

March 10, 2022 (GREENSBORO, N.C.) – Cindy Williams, the President and Founder of Pinnacle Environmental Management Support, has been recognized as an Outstanding Woman in Business for 2022 by the Triad Business Journal.

Williams, who founded Pinnacle in 1995, spends her days leading a high-performing team focused on reducing the administrative and financial burden associated with regulatory compliance and cleanups arising from petroleum storage tanks.  The firm specializes in assisting tank owners, consultants, and other stakeholders navigate government and private insurance mechanisms, including state-administered leaking UST cleanup funds to reduce the financial impacts.  In addition, she also serves as a senior regulatory expert providing a bridge between government agencies and the regulated community to ensure efficient outcomes.

In the past two years, Williams has successfully led her team to deliver exceptional results even during the sudden change to becoming a remote workforce and has continued to advocate for clients facing uncertain challenges within the energy and environmental industries. Her leadership has been an inspiration for many at Pinnacle, including Nicholas Haddy, the company’s Vice President of Business Strategy.

“Even after a career spanning almost three decades of delivering extraordinary outcomes for some of the most distinguished organizations in the energy and environmental engineering sectors, Cindy still maintains a drive to overcome any obstacles to the effective junction of government and business. Cindy always insists on gathering all the information, and that’s why she’s so well trusted to have the facts necessary to support informed decision making by divisions within Fortune 100 companies,” said Haddy.

“As the industry has continued to evolve, she has synthesized a deeper understanding of business operations, corporate strategy, and finance—alongside knowledge of historical assets and regulatory precedent—to help her clients as they position themselves for changing market demands.”

Williams joins 24 other talented women leaders in the 2022 class of Outstanding Women in Business award winners, representing industries such as health care, nonprofits and banking.

The Triad Business Journal will celebrate the honorees at Grandover Resort and Conference Center on May 5 at 5:30 p.m in Greensboro. For more information about the event, click here. The TBJ will also recognize the award winners online and in a special print publication out May 6.
